If necessary, they will be trying to keep themselves as young as they could in many ways.

However, being always young is impossible for us.

直接引语变为间接引语(宾语从句)特点:
1. 形式上:引号
2. 引述动词: say/ tell+sb.
3. 间接引语时态的变化：( 取决于引述动词的时态)
say/tell+连词+直接引语(时态不变)
said/told+连词+直接引语(过去的某一种时态)
4. 连词:
直接引语是陈述句变为间接引语时由that做连词(可以省略)
…………….一般疑问句……………由if /whether做连词
…………….特殊疑问句…………….由特殊疑问词做连词
5.直接引语变为间接引语的句子语序:主语+引述动词+连词+陈述句的语序.
6. 人称的变化: 根据句子的逻辑(翻译)
