He gets into a temper if you argue with him.
You’ll get into trouble if you break that vase.

mess 表示“脏乱状态”时
通常与in连用或与 get into连用:

When she returned from the market, the children had got the room into a terrible mess.

表示“使……燃烧”、“放火烧……”:
