感情形容词后的不定式通常是表示原因, 在句中做原因状语。
happy,sad, astonished, amazed, surprised, horrified, disappointed.
-He was frightened to see the snake.
-I am sorry to learn that he had an accident.
也可以放在表语之后，主语是不定式的实际宾语。
-The car is hard to park.
-Some questions are difficult to answer.
现在分词作状语
可以表示时间, 原因, 结果, 条件, 行为方式或伴随动作等。
Not wanting to frighten the poor man, Mrs Richards quickly hid in the small storeroom under the stairs.
原因状语
Being poor, he couldn’t afford a TV set.
