1. 从属连词：that：只起引导作用，本身无实际意义，不充当任何成分，但不能省略。whether：意为“是否”，不充当从句的任何成分。
2. 连接代词who, what, which, whoever, whatever, whichever引导主语从句，包含意思，并在从句中充当成分。
what 在从句中充当句子成分，如主语、宾语、表语，而that 则不然。  
3. 连接副词when, where, why, how等引导主语从句，包含意思，并在从句中充当成分，不可省略。
为了避免句子头重脚轻，通常把形式主语it放在主语
位置，真正主语置于句末。
